It is a form of entertainment used by scholars to promote ethics, morality and entertainment in old times. The performance is sung by one person and accompanied by others, accompanied by suona, erhu, cymbals, flute, clappers, horse gongs, benches and farm tools. Moving scroll is a kind of rap art, but it is different from the Daoqiang singing in the south of Shanxi Province. The whole song is divided into 16 bars and 158 sentences. The performance form is rough and unrestrained, the singing is beautiful, the accompaniment is compact, has the ancient, distinctive folk characteristics.
