Beautiful Landscape
The Yellow River flows through this area, where the water surface suddenly narrows from 300 meters wide to just over 50 meters, plunging straight down into a stone groove over 30 meters deep, shaped like water pouring into a giant pot, which is how it got the name “Hukou”. Hukou Waterfall is characterized by huge waves, a thunderous sound, and stunning cascades, giving rise to wonders such as “Mist from Water Bottom”, “Rainbow Playing Water”, “Dragons Playing Waves”, and “Thunder in the Valley Stream”. Surrounding the waterfall are also other natural and cultural landscapes, including “Ten-Li Dragon Trough”, “Mengmen Night Moon”, “Yu Cap Peak”, and “Ancient Ferry”.
