On November 22, 2019, the Yellow River had traveled ten thousands of miles, only awaiting the teenagers to read a few volumes of books. A’Jin’s composition is a verselet:
"You take along the sand wrapped in enthusiasm
Thousands of troops and ten thousands of horses are straightly pouring down
I hear you singing generously and loudly
With clap of shocking thunder, high-spirited and vigorous
You kiss my cheek softly in water mist
Tell heart feelings with deep blood affection
Teenagers will certainly be self-luxuriant in youth
I am the sunflower that you have fed."
A’Jin comes from Peiwen Jinzhong Experimental School of Peking University and is a junior student of Grade one. In the last ten-day period of November, 2019, about a thousand teachers and students from Peiwen Jinzhong Experimental School of Peking University conducted academic activities at Yellow River Hukou Waterfall in Shanxi Province. The magnificent landscape and local customs of Hukou Waterfall left a deep impression on all teachers and students. As the saying goes, "the water of the Yellow River comes from the sky." The nine-bending Yellow River rushes all the way from the Bayan Kala Mountain, passes through nine provinces, crosses the lofty high mountains and vast plains and continuously flows for ten millions of years, which is the Chinese root and national soul. As another saying goes, " thousands of miles of Yellow River converges in a pot". The Hukou Waterfall has a narrow terrain, high drop, great water volume, and rapid water flow. The vigour of mother river is like rainbow, flowing forward with indomitable will. Looking up at the heaven and down at the earth, hiding in the heart and watching the Hukou Waterfall, the young man is full of spirits, vigour and emotion overflowing in the bosom. Read thousands of books and travel thousands of miles. The magnificent scene of Hukou Waterfall makes the students linger on, appreciate the wonder of the Yellow River, feel the magnificent rivers and mountains of the motherland, understand the local customs of Hukou, and the academic tour allows students to truly embed learning in playing and make knowing and doing in unity.
